I enjoyed the story. I'm glad I went on ahead and played the full game in steam.
I definitely felt things hard as a middle child w/ some inferiority complex with her siblings haha. And yet my heart still ached so much ; w ; While I craved for more because I have so many questions, I think it was a pretty succinct experience overall. I was legitimately uncertain how to raise stats higher than what I could achieve but maybe I just missed some selected options to raise points. (Time to make several playthroughs!)
All in all, I'm happy that my Queen relatively had a happy ending w/ Cyril! I can't wait to see the sequel!
People who can't understand Stanislas never experienced living in authoritarian regimes. Which is to say, good for them, but Stan is based and me and my MC get him. Engaging narrative with solid, comprehensible writing. I was fixated on the story for the whole playthrough, couldn't read much else.
I'm not sure; the Patreon version has a menu at the top left that allows you to import a save, but I haven't tested it. And I might have removed it, now that I think of it...

I'd love to see the rest of the demo but having to read in a tiny box that only fills like 30% of the screen is frustrating. Making the text bigger or zooming in just makes the text larger in the box without making the box bigger. Would you consider allowing us to pick a different layout?
I'm on a laptop which is prob why it's more apparent to me. idk exact screen size but when screenshotting it says it's 1980x1080. There's just a lot of unused screen space with the text squished in the middle. If I make the text bigger it fills the box instead of utilizing the large amount of empty space. This is a screenshot with the text at max size in the settings.
That said I did finish reading and it's just as good as I remembered. This was one of those WIPs I lost track of back when and could never remember enough about it to find it again lol, glad to see it finished. I was so invested, forgot it was just a demo until it was already over! I saw another comment where you said this is the first 11 chapters which is very generous since usually we only get the first few so thank you! The text size is less of an issue for me on mobile which is where I'll likely be buying the full game when I can.
great story, i like that the mc acts the way i want them too also only played the demo, the MC's sister is annoying but i love her so much and i was playing pacifist but i will commit genocide if she dies
i hve a question tho... do choices matter? ik there's multiple endings (read the steam page) but i wanna know for specifically romance? like are characters able to recall memories of like first kiss with the MC? or like relationships with other characters?
just got into this type of game genre and im a happy camper :3
Man you made a great game, I'm serious I've played a lot of visual novel games and I can tell you that you made a good game (I can't judge and give suggestions because I only played it in the browser) I'm so sad that I can't continue the game because of the payment,
I highly suggest you make it free. Why? Most people who play visual novel games want the game to have voice acting, character images and achievements in order to think about playing the game. That's not available here. They really don't appreciate the text and the people who are interested in the game will just play the demo and leave so I'd rather you put a support link and make the game free so everyone can try the game and the people who are interested will support
Hiiii I just got the steam version but, is there a way to transfer the demo saves to steam? It's not letting me, it says it's the "the wrong game" and then aborts :(
You won't be able to directly import your save data due to the sequel using a different engine, but you'll be able to set the world state based on your previous choices.

You actually can! Though it requires a separate app called Twine Viewer. Although without having the html download for the game it won't be able to save progress you still can play it using the itch.io page link and the online game option :3c

I loved the demo so much that I got the Steam game! It's a story that really captures me, and I love how it makes you feel so immersed in the character's emotions.
This IN was amazing! I loved every painstaking minute of the absolute roller coaster of emotions. I am so glad to see a sequel (at least in the early stages!) I loved Cyril I hope to see more of them. Quite possibly the best $8 I've spent in recent memory.

Unfortunately, it is not really possible to sell web-based games through itch.io (except in a roundabout way that I don't even think would work on iPhones/iPads). If I were to sell through itch.io, it would be the same executable that you'd get through Steam (ie. meant to work on a PC or a Mac).
I might release an Apple Store version later this year, but for the moment, there is no version of the full game that would work on iPhones/iPads :(

How much content is in the full version? I am back into the interactive fiction games. Looks like it is still very slim pickings in regards to complete titles with a lot of gameplay. But I remember greatly enjoying this demo and will absolutely buy the steam version if it's worth it. If anyone has played the full game please let me know. Thanks! Fingers crossed, the search for a good IF has been quite dry.
I feel you, it's disappointing how many unfinished IFs there are. But this story is absolute perfection! I purchased it after playing the demo and I absolutely love it- everything from the politics, character building, and storyline is wonderful. I've even done 2 playthroughs since purchasing it to try 2 different LI routes. If you enjoyed the demo you'll love the finished piece.You will not regret it!

Hi! Sorry, you can't import saves from the demo. Since they have different source files, the engine sees them as two different games.
