You actually can! Though it requires a separate app called Twine Viewer. Although without having the html download for the game it won't be able to save progress you still can play it using the itch.io page link and the online game option :3c
Will work only for the demo though :c Unless steam has cloud sharing that works with it
Ughhhh I forgot the whole reason I never finished this game was because last time I bought it, I was told steam isn't compatible with my laptop aannnndd I don't have an Android.
I just did it again, wtfffff.
edit: hmmm I wonder if my old jacked up laptop has Google play... fingers crossed
Edit 2: ...sooo I just ordered a Tablet off Amazon that has Google Play...Yes, Just so I can finish this game. 😭
I loved the demo so much that I got the Steam game! It's a story that really captures me, and I love how it makes you feel so immersed in the character's emotions.
This IN was amazing! I loved every painstaking minute of the absolute roller coaster of emotions. I am so glad to see a sequel (at least in the early stages!) I loved Cyril I hope to see more of them. Quite possibly the best $8 I've spent in recent memory.
….okay - I am Distraught because I just played the demo, this is AMAZING, and I so want to THROW MY MONEY AT YOU; but my computer died and I only have iPad/iPhone to work with. I was so hoping there was an Apple App Store link since there’s a Google one, but no dice. I can’t even do steam link because no compy :(
Is there any way I can get a web browser full version and buy it from you via itch, oh Amazing author-san?
Unfortunately, it is not really possible to sell web-based games through itch.io (except in a roundabout way that I don't even think would work on iPhones/iPads). If I were to sell through itch.io, it would be the same executable that you'd get through Steam (ie. meant to work on a PC or a Mac).
I might release an Apple Store version later this year, but for the moment, there is no version of the full game that would work on iPhones/iPads :(
That really sucks. I was so hoping there’d be a workaround for mobile iOS players. Welp - thanks for the answer. Maybe I’ll be able to catch this later in the year….
How much content is in the full version? I am back into the interactive fiction games. Looks like it is still very slim pickings in regards to complete titles with a lot of gameplay. But I remember greatly enjoying this demo and will absolutely buy the steam version if it's worth it. If anyone has played the full game please let me know. Thanks! Fingers crossed, the search for a good IF has been quite dry.
I feel you, it's disappointing how many unfinished IFs there are. But this story is absolute perfection! I purchased it after playing the demo and I absolutely love it- everything from the politics, character building, and storyline is wonderful. I've even done 2 playthroughs since purchasing it to try 2 different LI routes. If you enjoyed the demo you'll love the finished piece. You will not regret it!
I loved every minute of the demo! It wasuch longer than I thought it would be and gave me a full taste of the full game. I finished the demo and knew I had to spend the money to buy the full thing and it delivered! I loved the romance, the politics, the battles. I loved that the protagonist could have a rocky relationship with their sister. And dang did some of them spicy scenes leave me blushing. 😳
Hey there,my apologies for the disturbance however i just replayed Arcadia second born,I haven't been really keeping up with the updates and thought perhaps my hope for a sequal have been crushed lol and as fate had other plans,i just happen to wonder across somthing that seems to be tester sequal to it arcadia:cold lands..i was wondering if there is a fourm you need to fill to acess the demo since it seems the website for demo on itch.io is password encrypted, umm if there is any slight chance I may have the privilege to acess the demo do let me know pretty please..fr i never have been this excited also thank you for the sequal UwU
Hi! I am working on a sequel, yes. There is a playable demo available but bear in mind it is very early-stage which is why it is locked behind a password. You can try it via my blog (the password is in the linked post).
If you want to keep up with the game's development, you can follow my blog, though I know not everyone has or wants to have a Tumblr account; I'll probably be setting up a newsletter by the end of the year.
Thanks for playing Arcadie: Second-Born by the way, I hope you'll enjoy the sequel! ;)

Hello! Yes, it is SugarCube.
I’m so bummed this isn’t available on iPhone! What a fantastic game.
I am looking into publishing it on the AppStore, but it probably won't happen before beginning of next year :)
I’ll definitely look out for it!

Got this on Steam and Android. Still, my favorite Interactive Novel to date. Not to mention, it's complete.
I can't wait for Arcadie: Cold Lands to be released. I want more of Cyril. <3
Is there a reason we can't buy on itch.io?
Adding the game to new storefronts means managing updates, taxes, and other things across multiple platforms.
Is there a particular reason you'd prefer to buy on itch.io?
I play games on my laptop, not my phone and or steam (I don't have an account and wouldn't want to launch an app to play a game)

Thank you for the response! I shall get it right away! Wohoo
I absolutely love the demo, so I'm going to get the game on steam. I wish I was more courageous to stand firm against Ariana😤 but I couldn't 😔
Unfortunately, I can't download the full version, the app is "not available in my country"

Hello! Yes, there are four potential love interests.
